Woman drives burning truck into estranged husband's home

BRIGHTON, IL (KMOX)  -- A woman's in custody after driving her burning vehicle into her estanged husband's home.

 

Jersey County Sheriff Mark Kallal says it happened at about mid-morning Friday, at a home on 111 near the Madison County line. 

Kallal says the couple is separated and the woman has been trying to talk to her husband. He says she showed up this morning, lit the back seat of her truck on fire, and drove it into the house.

 

Kallal says the four or five people in the house including her husband and some children got out safely, but the house is a total loss.

The woman was not hurt.
