WEBSTER GROVES (KMOX) -- For the second time this year, the Commerce Bank in Old Orchard has been hit by a robbery.
A gunman demanding money confronted a teller this morning. Webster Groves Police Captain Stephen Spear says no one was hurt. The gunman walked in wearing khaki pants, a dark hoodie and a white New York Yankees baseball cap.
"He approached one of the employees -- a teller there -- and opened up a folder of some type which had a gun in it," Spear said, "He demanded money. The bank employee complied, giving him the money she had and the subject left the bank."
Police say it was not known whether the gunman left on foot or got in a car. The Commerce Bank at 8050 Big Bend is a block away from access to Interstate 44.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s to early-30s, medium build, about six feet tall.
Earlier this year, the same bank was hit by a man claiming to have a gun. Mario Lamar Buckner, 30, was later arrested in Tennesse and charged in the holdup.
