Teen charged in Overland murder

OVERLAND,MO (KMOX)  -- A 17 year old has been charged with Monday's double shooting in Overland, that left a man dead and a woman seriously wounded.

Prosecutors say Brandon Davis broke into to the home in the 10,500 block of Emerald Ridge to rob the residents.

With children in the home, he allegedly shot and killed 31 year old Duane Woodson and wounded a woman in her 20's, who is expected to survive. The children were not hurt.

Davis left without taking anything. He's charged with first degree murder, assault, attempted robbery, burglary and four counts of armed criminal action.
