The returns are in for in Tuesday's election in St. Louis County.
Proposition N, the prohibition on smoking in most public places won approval by voters with 65 percent of the vote. Proposition E-911 , the tenth of a percent sales tax issue for an enhanced emergency communications system, won with 67 % of the vote. In the race for the 73rd State House district seat , Democrat Stacey Newman beat Republican Daniel O'Sullivan by a 61 to 38 percent margin. |
