Pastor's up in the air, despite the rain

GRANITE CITY, Ill. (KMOX)  -- A Metro-East youth pastor knows all about this week's heavy rainfall. He's been feeling it from the rooftop of his church, "Sometimes it can be scary. but eveything's secure, nothing's fallen down, and I'm still here.".

Craig Stiefel of Tri-City Assembly of God in Granite City has been "camped out" since Tuesday, as a form of challenge, "It challenges the boys and girls of our congregation to collect money for missionaries, people who are going out and spreading the Gospel."

Stiefel says a Granite City Fire Department ladder truck is expected to come bring him down from the roof, Saturday, as part of the church's Fallapalooza party.

The church's "Up in the Air" fundraising goal is set at $10,000.
