Search for missing girl ends for the night

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOX) -- The search for a missing nine year old girl near Jefferson City has been called off for the night and will resume Friday.
Nine year old Elizabeth Olten has been missing since she failed to return from a friend's house near St. Martins Wednesday evening.
Hundreds of volunteers have been searching rough terrain, including a wooded area in the rain for the girl.
Elizabeth is described as a shy girl who is very familiar with the quarter mile walk from her friends home.
