Kelley is a sought after political advisor to many candidates and issue campaigns in Missouri. The largest county in the state of Missouri (St. Louis County) resoundingly passed a countywide smoking ban. Couple that with the City of St. Louis passing a similar ban that will take effect simultaneously and finally real progress is happening in a state that typically is the last to embrace it.
For the past 6 months, Congressman Roy Blunt (Georgetown, DC) has been trying to reinvent himself as a Washington outsider who is going to clean up DC. Really?
Come on Congressman Blunt, you have spent 12 years in Washington, DC, as a bagman for the RNC on K Street.
President Obama is being criticized by Republicans the “Political Right” on his “slow” decision making process in Afghanistan. In the midst of the noise coming from Rush, Hannity, O’Reilly and of course Glenn Beck rushing to trounce his deliberative decision making process it may be worth taking a step back and reflect on a couple of things.

Over the past decade or so, it is clear that Republican voting performance in suburbia all across the country has eroded appreciably (for local effect, just take a look at St. Louis County since 1992).
My friends, I successfully predicted 2/3 of the elections last night! The McDonnell win in Virginia was a no-brainer and represented a “gimme” for political prognostication. His 18-point win and massive GOP gains in the Virginia House of Delegates, however, send a loud and powerful message to DC Democrats.
Boldly going where few dare to tread, I am going to stick out the old neck and make a few predictions about tomorrow’s elections and their effect on the body politic…
