St. Louis (KMOX News) -- A new survey shows Republican Kenny Hulshof trailing badly in the Missouri Governor's race, with little hope of catching Democrat Jay Nixon by Election Day (Nov. 4).
In a poll conducted by SurveyUSA for KMOX Radio and KCTV-TV in Kansas City, 56% of likely voters say they'll vote for Nixon compared to just 34% who say they'll support Hulshof.
4% remain undecided and the survey has a plus-or-minus 4.3% margin of error.
Nixon's 22% lead is even higher than the 17% advantage he held in the last poll three weeks ago.
The SurveyUSA polls shows Nixon holding support of 50-percent or higher among almost all voter sub-groups including: men, women, young, old, white, black, higher-income, lower-income, Moderates, Liberals and Independents -- giving Hulshof little toe-hold to try and build momentum over the next three weeks.
