The city of St. Louis is disputing the latest figures from the U-S Census Bureau showing the population dipped about three-thousand to stand at around 350-thousand. Mayor Slay says even though population growth was up "modestly," he believes the trend of deep losses has been stopped. Slay says he believes the Census Bureau will relent on the latest numbers, when the city files its formal appeal to show "hidden pockets of growth."
