Walk-off home run wins the game for the Red Birds


Troy Glaus hit his second homer of the game with two outs in the ninth , and won it for St. Louis. In the eighth inning pinch-hitter Chris Duncan hit a two-run shot and tied the game. the final score Cardinals 8 New York 7. Glaus' fifth career game-winning homer came off rookie Carlos Muniz (0-1), a towering drive that barely cleared the left-field wall. Rick Ankiel hit his 17th homer in the fifth and flied out to the wall in center field before Glaus' at-bat. Ryan Franklin (3-2) worked a perfect ninth for the Cardinals.
