LA closer to stadium, should Rams fans worry?

SAINT LOUIS (KMOX/AP)  -- California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's signing of a bill clearing the way for a new footall stadium near Los Angeles, should not send St. Louis Rams fans into a state of paranoia.

That's according to CBS football analyst Dan Dierdorf, who says that while the Rams are one of seven teams the stadium's developers are targeting, other teams are more eligible to move first. He notes that the Vikings lease in Minneapolis runs out within two years and Jacksonville is having attendance troubles.

Dierdorf says San Diego is another franchise that could move. The LA group is also targeting the BIlls, Raiders and 49ers.

The bill Schwarzenegger signed provides an environmental exemption for the 75 thousand seat stadium in Industry, California.

Majestic Realty Co., which helped develop Los Angeles' Staples Center, is heading up the stadium project.
