MILWAUKEE (AP) __ Manager Tony La Russa of the St. Louis Cardinals said today that closer Jason Isringhausen has lost his job. La Russa says Isringhausen, who blew his major-league-leading fifth save of the season last night, will still pitch important innings but, for now, closing duties will be split by Ryan Franklin and Russ Springer. Isringhausen says he agrees with the move. |
