My beautiful South City neighborhood just gets better and better! The 2007 Festival of Nations August 25-26 drew a record crowd of 80,000 visitors to Tower Grove Park! The International Institute did a fantastic job organizing it and the sheer amount of nationalities represented was impressive.
Ever had Ethiopian food? Meskerem Ethiopian Restaurant (3210 S. Grand) will offer a free lunch buffet on Saturday, Sept. 8th from noon to 3 to celebrate their Ethiopian Millennium New Year. They’ll also have traditional African dancers and a speaker on Ethiopian history.
The folks to brought us the successful Tower Grove Farmers’ Market have now opened a store on Morganford near Juniata. Patrick Horine says Local Harvest Grocery offers the stuff you love at Saturday’s market, but all week long. www.localharvestgrocery.com |
