St. Louis (KMOX News)  -- Last week's house explosion in Flordell Hills may have been caused by thieves stealing copper from the home.  Laclede Gas says someone stole the gas and water pipes from the vacant home.  The house then filled with gas, causing the explosion.  Jennings Police say the county bomb and arson unit is still investigating and could release its findings next week.  The explosion forced the evacuation of 19 families from the area.  Only one family has returned to their home.
