Belleville Police file complaint against East St. Louis police officer

St. Louis (KMOX)  -- Belleville Police have filed a complaint against an East St. Louis police officer for allegedly obstructing a police investigation. Belleville police say the complaint is against officer Debra Simpkins. They alledge that while Belleville officers were issuing citations to several juveniles last Tuesday night...officer Simpkins came to the scene and was disruptive and obstructed the officers. The East St. Louis officer is charged with a misdemeanor and is to appear in court. Belleville Police would not release any more details about the case.
